Our CEO, Evert Bopp is also the founder of Disaster Tech Lab, where he focuses on providing communication services in disaster-affected areas. With over 25 years of experience in business development and 14 years dedicated to humanitarian technology, he has led efforts in Haiti, Nepal, the U.S., and more, partnering with organizations like FEMA and the UN.
In addition to his work at Disaster Tech Lab, Evert is involved in consultancy and telecommunications. His contributions to disaster relief have earned him several prestigious awards, including FEMA’s Certificate of Recognition and the SSPI Better Satellite Global Humanitarian Award

Tom Vazdar is the Chief Technology Officer at Crisis Cognition, where he leads the development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies designed to support disaster response and crisis management. With deep expertise in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and system integration, Tom oversees the technical strategy that powers Crisis Cognition’s innovative solutions. His extensive background in AI and cybersecurity has equipped him to tackle complex challenges in critical environments, ensuring that responders have reliable, secure tools at their disposal. Tom’s vision aligns with Crisis Cognition’s mission to provide scalable, impactful technologies that enhance global humanitarian efforts in times of crisis.
Samantha Wolhuter is the COO of Crisis Cognition, a social enterprise developing innovative technologies for disaster response and crisis management. With over 15 years in marketing and creative strategy, she brings a unique perspective to humanitarian technology. Samantha is also the founder of On The Run, a location-independent advertising agency serving global brands. Her expertise spans digital marketing, AI, and content development, including authoring a book on AI for executives. As a board member of a disaster response NGO, Samantha contributes to leveraging technology for global humanitarian efforts. Her diverse background in business and technology drives Crisis Cognition's mission to empower responders with effective tools in critical situations.
Siri Emilie Oldervik is a social impact and international development consultant with a focus on fundraising, partnerships, and organizational development. She is currently consulting for the Wikimedia Foundation and has previously worked across a range of projects for the Red Cross, International Development Ireland, and other NGOs and development institutions. Siri also serves in multiple board roles across a range of organizations. With experience living, working, and studying across the world, Siri’s expertise spans international development, emergency response, advocacy, and project management.
